TAKEAWAYS
- Tarapacá seeks to preserve and protect the biodiversity that lives in the vineyards, and they wanted a label design full of life to reflect their efforts.
- The execution of the labels by Ártica SA, with its HP Digital Printing quality, application of foil on printing, 54-thread screen printing, and matte varnish were key to achieving the results of this project.
- UPM Raflatac's ENVI® with RS30 adhesive is a material specially designed to meet the demand for sustainable solutions that provide exceptional shelf appeal.
In these limited editions, we can enjoy a Tarapacá Gran Reserva Organic Red Blend, Tarapacá Reserva Red Blend, Tarapacá Varietal Red Blend and Tarapacá Varietal Pinot Grigio.
These new labels are a tribute to the biodiversity that lives in the vineyards, and they illustrate some of the native species that the brand seeks to protect. The Culpeo fox, the Chagual Butterfly and the Miner's Flower are illustrated in striking colors that also reflect the richness of nature that surrounds the vineyards.
A design that showcases the variety of life in an ecosystem pairs perfectly with sustainable labeling that accompanies the brand's objectives. With sustainability in mind, Viña San Pedro de Tarapacá Development Team in partnership with the printing company Ártica SA, and with the support of UPM Raflatac, selected the best material option for their labels. A material that complements the design, according to the purpose of the brand with excellent performance in the labeling and final use of the product.
UPM Raflatac is proud to work alongside brands that respect the environment and care about future generations.
The material chosen for this project is ENVI® PCW100 WSA-FSC, with RS30 adhesive and PET 30 PCR backing. It is a paper made from 100% high-quality post-consumer waste (PCW), with a smooth, ultra-white, appearance and moisture resistance that is specifically designed for bottle labeling. This material also has the Forest Stewardship Council "FSC" certification.
The clear polyester backing that supports this paper contains up to 90% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. Using PCW and PCR materials reduces the pressure on the use of virgin raw materials in both the face material and back liner.
