Sustainability means innovation and action

Labels are everywhere and on everything we consume. Wrapped around food, beverages, cosmetics and medicines, they build brands, convey important information, and tell stories. As one of the world’s largest suppliers of pressure sensitive label materials, we are fully aware of the environmental aspects of every stage of the label value chain. This is why sustainability is at the core of our business values, and it is why we provide innovative solutions to help our stakeholders be responsible too.

Making labels sustainable requires innovative product design, responsible sourcing, efficient operations, outstanding product performance and sustainable end-of-life solutions. It also involves comprehensive sustainability collaboration with our stakeholders, such as suppliers, label printers, brand owners and the communities we operate in.

Our leadership in sustainability has been recognized by the UN Global Compact Lead and Dow Jones Sustainability Index as part of our parent company UPM.

Our sustainable label products are based on our holistic ecodesign approach. The environmental impacts can be assessed with our LCA based Label Life tool and with the RafCycle® concept our customers and brand owners can give their label waste a new life in paper, biocomposites or as energy »
