Choose the right film face material

UPM Raflatac film face stocks are ready to make a starring appearance in all of your end-use applications. Film face stocks typically offer a higher level of durability than paper, providing resistance to water, oil and chemicals. The transparency and conformability vary according to the face material, as does the heat resistance. Films are often used for beverage labels, personal care product labels and consumer electronics labels. They are also a perfect choice for signage solutions.

Our product index gives you detailed information on each film face material, its appearance, use, printability and other technical values.

Properties and end-uses

A4 filmsA4 polyester (PET) and polyethylene (PE) based films are well-suited to laser printing. Use PET films and inkjet printing to meet the needs of SOHO, industrial and logistical, laboratory and product labeling applications.
PE filmsPolyethylene (PE) films are the elementary essential for squeezable containers of all shapes and sizes. Labels printed on PE flex with the packaging and keep their good looks. PE films offer breadth of scope for label design, reliable production and lasting squeezability.
PP filmsPolypropylene (PP) films are ideal for ultra-transparent labelling. Clear and thin PP is your first choice for a crystal clear no-label look on rigid containers. PP also gives best-in-class die-cutting properties for the crispest edges on all label shapes. Our cavitated, pearlescent PP White offers good opacity, print contrast and dispensing stiffness even at low grammage.
PET filmsPolyethylene terephthalate (PET) films provide extremely high resistance of the labels and of the information they carry. These films are typically used in durables goods labelling where resistance against heat, UV and various chemicals is critical to ensure that the labels will remain useful for the lifetime of the labelled goods.
