Product useProduct designed for wine and spirits labelling applications, when wash-off performance is needed. This high-gloss, cast-coated paper product is robust and stable for embossing and die-cutting of complex label shapes. The adhesive provides good adhesion to polar surfaces and can be washed off in hot alkaline water.

Product InformationThe wash-off time is strongly dependent on the face paper's water absorption properties. Full cover printing, varnishing and foiling can affect wash-off performance. There is a risk that the wash-off properties may be reduced if labels are stored at elevated temperatures or in humid conditions or under UV exposure (such as outdoor conditions) for long periods of time. The high stiffness of the product may result in pre-dispensing, especially if there is a narrow label feed path or if the rollers inside the machine have small diameters. Reels should be wound with the label-side out. This product is not suitable for labelling of small-diameter areas such as the neck of bottles. To ensure optimal adhesion, bottles should be dry and clean during label application. The typical wash off requirements for RP30W are hot water (70-80°C) with an alkaline additive (1.5 – 2.5 w-% NaOH).
