Keep your business moving with rugged tire labels

Rugged tire labels for rubber labeling on rough surfaces | UPM Raflatac

Tire labels travel a long way in the global supply chain before reaching automotive supply shops and tire dealerships. Pressure sensitive labels for rubber need to get a grip on uneven treads while providing vital information about the product – including the brand, type, dimensions, and item barcode.

To satisfy EC regulation 1222/2009, certain tire information must also be displayed on the label, including rolling resistance, wet grip, and road noise.

We offer a full range of materials for your tire brand label, tire identification label, and tire energy label applications. Labeling materials are also available to serve internal logistics for tire factories and hubs.

Rough surfaces set the pace

Various chemicals used during tire manufacture can present challenges for the rubber adhesive, making the right choice critical. The face material also needs to be protected from these chemicals as they can migrate from the tire.

Once applied, the tire information label must withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions in the supply chain and have strong adhesion to stay secure on rough and uneven tire profiles.

Specialized tire labeling materials

In addition to our specialized rubber adhesives, including the renowned RHT tire adhesive, we also offer a range of materials for tire labeling applications. Film and paper-based faces, corresponding backings, and specialized solutions such as vulcanization labels all work together to ensure your tire information labels won’t come unstuck.
