However, new EU legislation coming into force requires all thermal paper sold in Europe to be free of BPA after 2 January 2020.

UPM Raflatac has anticipated this change with a full range of uncoated and top-coated BPA-free thermal label materials for most typical end-use requirements. We also offer bisphenol-free and total phenol-free label products for more specific end-user demands.

“It is important to stay a step ahead of legislation, which is why we are ready to offer a full range of BPA-free thermal label papers well in advance of the deadline,” says Jon Lenck, Director, Business Segment VIP & Prime, EMEIA. “If you have any concerns about which product is right for you, get in touch and we’ll be happy to provide guidance.”

Find out more about EU regulation 2016/2235 and discover our full range of BPA-free thermal label materials »

For further information, please contact:
Mr Jon Lenck, Director, VIP & Prime, UPM Raflatac EMEIA, tel. +48 71 776 5000
