For high-quality product labeling, UPM Raflatac’s semi-gloss and high-gloss face stocks are ideal for high print definition and fine detail. UPM Raflatac’s Kromekote® Extragloss offers a bright white, high-gloss finish for top quality prime labels. Raflacoat and Raflasilk, UPM Raflatac’s semi-gloss products provide cost effective solutions for high quality, multi-color labeling.

When is a film material the right choice over the traditional paper face stocks?
Film face stocks offer unique packaging solutions such as conformity, flexibility and durability that are not available with paper face stocks. Films also offer exceptional water, oil and chemical resistance along with excellent gloss and color retention that traditional paper materials are unable to offer.
For the ‘no-label-look’, UPM Raflatac’s PP Gloss Clear TC is an excellent choice because of its gloss, clarity and color retention throughout the life of the product. Raflex Plus is a squeezable film that offers high-print resolution, making it a unique solution for cosmetic labeling applications.
Which products are best suited for variable information labeling?
For office and retail information printing, uncoated papers are often the right choice. UPM Raflatac’s Jetlaser and Laser products are uncoated, versatile face stocks suitable for a variety of applications. Jetlaser is designed for use with ink-jet printers, while Laser face stock is suitable for copiers and laser printers.
UPM Raflatac offers both high-gloss and matte-coated paper for high quality, multi-color labels. Jetgloss is suitable for glossy, photo quality printing with ink-jet printers, while Lasergloss is designed for use with copiers and laser printers. For matte-finished, photo quality labels, UPM Raflatac’s Jetcolor and Premium Matte Laser materials are the optimal choices.
UPM Raflatac’s Direct Thermal Top material is top barrier-coated, smudgeproof and offers good moisture and scratch resistance for transport, logistics, shipping and industrial information labeling. Direct Thermal Eco is the economical choice for short life applications in dry, scratch-free environments.
UPM Raflatac’s Transfer Premium Plus and Transfer Premium Lite stocks provide surface characteristics suitable for all main types of press print, including water-based flexo. Both products are the reliable choice for applications such as distribution, stock control and warehouse labeling, where the readability of bar codes is important. Transfer Standard is a non-coated face stock suitable for applications such as box end, distribution and warehouse labeling.
