UPM Raflatac introduces KIMDURA® Synthetic Paper labelstocks for demanding outdoor and industrial applications
3/16/2006(UPM Raflatac, Fletcher, March 16, 2006) - UPM Raflatac, a world-leading supplier of pressure sensitive labelstock and RFID tags and inlays, announces the release of Kimdura® Multi-Task RP51 3.2 mil. White Kraft VIP and 4.0 Kimdura ® UV RP51 3.2 mil. White Kraft VIP, two high-performance labelstocks for outdoor and industrial applications that require extreme tensile strength, environmental resistance and print integrity.
Designed for rugged usage, Kimdura® Multi-Task RP51 3.2 mil. White Kraft VIP offers superior, rip-free performance in the face of chemical exposure, moisture and other demanding conditions. The labelstock pairs a robust face paper, permanent adhesive and White Kraft liner to create a multi-purpose labelstock that can be printed with variable and conventional printing techniques, as well as die cut, embossed, punched or similarly treated to create a custom label solution. The labelstock’s smooth, ultra-consistent top coating ensures smudge-proof printing and handling.
Comprised of a UV facestock, permanent adhesive, and White Kraft VIP liner, 4.0 Kimdura ® UV RP51 3.2 mil. White Kraft VIP delivers a new level of environmental performance, withstanding harsh weather conditions, sunlight and chemicals for up to 18 months. The labelstock’s proprietary top-coating and thick face paper enable it to resist edge tears, cracks or tensile strength deterioration, while providing smudge-free good looks.
“Our Kimdura® Synthetic Paper Products deliver outstanding results under the toughest of conditions,” says Linnea Keen, Product Manager, VIP Labeling. “Kimdura® Multi-Task and UV Papers give customers the best of all worlds – performance, versatility and branding appeal – allowing them to create labeling solutions that meet their unique needs.”
