Raflatac introduces digital labelstock product range

HP Indigo’s patented digital offset color process, that utilizes standard CMYK colors in a liquid ElectroInk form, requires a substrate specifically developed for the challenges of this unique technology.  Good toner anchorage is critical when working with a digital offset printing system, and Raflatac’s range of digital labelstock products have been formulated with a proprietary topcoating to ensure extended shelf life.

An estimated thirty-five percent of total global label run sizes are comprised of less than 6,500 linear feet of labelstock.  Digital offset printing eliminates the set-up times associated with outputting negatives, and the making and mounting of plates dictated by conventional label press systems.  The range of paper and film labelstocks now compatible with digital printing systems, coupled with increased press speeds and up to 800 dpi achievable resolution, offer label converters a viable short to mid-run, high quality printing technology for today’s competitive marketplace.
