Raflatac acquires Spanish self-adhesive laminate manufacturer

Raflatac has signed a contract with the shareholders of the Spanish self-adhesive laminate manufacturer CYG Group for acquiring all CYG's operations.

Raflatac takes over the entire share capital of the company. The signing took place on 8 September 1999.

CYG is a major local self-adhesive laminate manufacturer in Spain. It has a production plant in Spain and a sales office and terminal in France. All its operations will gradually be integrated to Raflatac. The company's turnover in 1998 was around EUR 37 million and the company employs about 160 people.

"The purpose of the acquisition is to strengthen Raflatac's position as a special product manufacturer in Europe. Through the acquisition, Raflatac increases its production capacity of A4 products and brings its special product operations closer to the South-European customers," says Juhani Strömberg, CEO of Raflatac Group.
