Health and Beauty and Home Care Labeling

The health and beauty industry sets high technical and aesthetic requirements on labels that need to be:

  • Conformable and squeezable
  • Resistant to water, oils and chemicals
  • Assistive in visual differentiation
  • Supportive of a strong brand image

UPM Raflatac’s range of polyethylenes (PEs) and polypropylenes (PPs) cover the majority of applications.

  • The no-label look
Clear film PP labels on clear or opaque packaging create an excellent no-label look, meaning the label is seamlessly integrated with the package.

  • Squeezable packaging
Raflex Plus is UPM Raflatac’s own innovation in film labeling. This unique polyolefin-based face material combines the conformability and flexibility required for contoured and squeezable packing with high clarity. These are the most valued properties of PE and PP in a single material specially designed for Health & Beauty applications.

  • Open-closure labeling
An environmentally friendly UV acrylic adhesive, RC12, has been developed for use with UPM Raflatac's clear and white PP film face materials for open-closure (resealable) wet wipes labeling.

Paper or film labels for Home Care?

UPM Raflatac has a wide range of paper-based label materials for various home care applications. However, to create an optimal brand image, particularly one that’s long-lasting, film labels have become the most popular choice on home care products.
