Adhesives

Self-adhesive labelstock is comprised the following components, from top to bottom:

1. Face material
2. Adhesive
  • Coated on the reverse side of the face material
3. Release coating
4. Liner

All UPM Raflatac adhesives are solvent-free and environmentally friendly, without compromising performance.

When choosing a labelstock product for a specific application, UPM Raflatac has an adhesive to meet every expectation:

  • Permanent (for EAN bar codes, roll-to-sheet/VIP labelstock…)
  • Microsphere (for direct mail, newspapers, wall graphics, temporary signage, page flags...)
  • Removable (for use on test tubes and glass containers; semi-permanent adhesives are easy to remove directly after labeling but become permanent over time)
  • Wash-off (for returnable packages, bottles, plastic boxes, postage stamps…)
  • Non-migrating (pharmaceutical labeling)
  • Adhesives for difficult substrates (moist or frozen, curved surfaces, textiles…)
