Conformable and semi-squeezable film labels

Film labels for conformable and semi-squeezable containers must be flexible and able to conform well to contours so that the quality of the product is always reflected in the quality of the packaging. These materials must fit well around oddly shaped packaging without any bubbles or wrinkles – and they need to resist edge-lifting, as loose label edges can cause adhesive whitening if the product is exposed to water.

Depending on the container shape and level of squeezability, UPM Raflatac recommends PP and Raflex Plus for conformable and contoured containers.

Conformable container examples

Standard shampoo bottles are typically semi-squeezable and feature a fairly flat panel. Both PP and Raflex Plus are a perfect fit to help prevent creasing and bubbling due to their conformability on these types of containers.

Hair conditioner containers require a higher level of squeezability due to the high viscosity of the conditioner itself. Raflex Plus is an ideal choice for conforming to these bottle types and keeping high-end products looking their very best squeeze after squeeze
