We have developed a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical label products that support compliance with the Falsified Medicines Directive (2011/62/EU) for packaging of prescription drugs and high-risk over-the-counter medicines. Compliance is achieved by incorporating tamper-evident features as described in the new European Standard EN 16679, “Tamper verification features for medicinal product packaging”.
This directive requires that pharmaceutical labels help prevent counterfeiting and tampering, and also support traceability.
These adhesives work together with our tamper-evident pharmaceutical label faces, which tear, split (the laminated layers separate), or flake when interfered with.
Designed for tamper-evidence and traceability
Our RP 62 EU and RP 62 EUL adhesives are specially formulated to facilitate cardboard tearing and show evidence of package tampering. RP 62 EUL also has luminescent characteristics for detecting missing labels.
These adhesives work with our high-quality transparent films, which blend easily with your existing package design and branding.
Pharmaclear PP Seal face material paired with RP 62 EU adhesive combines a destructible, non-reusable face – which noticeably stretches on attempted removal – with visible cardboard tearing for an excellent tamper-evident label.
