UPM Raflatac to exhibit at NRF Annual Convention in USA

UPM Raflatac will exhibit its market-leading RFID product offering for the retail supply chain and apparel industries at the NRF 98th Annual Convention & Expo – Retail’s BIG show, which will be held in New York City, NY, USA, from January 11-14, 2009. UPM Raflatac will showcase enhanced UHF products based on the Monza™ 3 ICs and demonstrate RFID’s effectiveness at improving perpetual inventory while reducing shrinkage and theft.

The company’s RFID demos will incorporate merchandise tagged with Tyco ADT’s Item Level Intelligent dual technology hard tag, which combines EAS and RFID elements for enhanced inventory management and security at the item level. This will allow attendees to interactively read RFID-tagged goods at a point-of-sale station, trigger an alarm when passing through an EAS pedestal with active merchandise and read tagged inventory with a hand-held RFID reader.
