Production Supervisor, PA, USA

UPM Raflatac is looking to recruit a

Production Supervisor

to be responsible for the daily production operations for the Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA slitting and distribution terminal.

Your main tasks will include:

• Supervising/leading hourly personnel
• Providing coverage for the Terminal Manager, Shift Supervisors and back-up planning for terminals
• Maintaining packing material inventory
• Creating purchase requisitions
• Acting as the primary contact for customer service and local systems issues
• Coordinating 2Q order processing
• Creating and maintaining weekly and monthly reports
• Coordinating and reconciling monthly laminate inventory
• Initiating and implementing a continuous improvement process
• Coordinating the recycling initiative
• Creating and assuring a safety-conscious work environment.
• Performing all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Our expectations from you are:

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a BS and 2-3 years supervisory experience in a paper converting/finishing environment
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
• Ability to serve as an effective team leader
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate well with a diverse constituency
• Well-developed problem solving skills, and demonstrated inventiveness and initiative
• Previous computer experience, including MS Office products and automated production management systems, required

You will be based in Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA and report to the Terminal Manager.
