UPM Raflatac celebrates its 15th year of operations in Russia at the LabelShow'2008
7.10.2008(UPM Raflatac, Tampere, October 7, 2008) – With the theme "Labelling a New Europe" at this year's LabelShow, UPM Raflatac celebrates its 15 years of operations in Russia.
UPM Raflatac has operated in the core of developing the Russian labelling industry, all the way from the beginning of the 1990's when the self-adhesive materials first appeared in the Russian labelling market. Since then, the market has expanded rapidly, and the presence of large multinational brands has raised the standards. UPM Raflatac has been able to take advantage of its wide global presence and has been leading the way with its versatile range of high-quality products delivered to multinational customers world-wide.
Faster service locally
Along with the 15th anniversary, there is also a reason to celebrate in UPM Raflatac's recently enforced local organisation that is now able to provide direct sales, faster service and local invoicing to all customers in Russia.
New factory in Poland operational at the end of the year
UPM Raflatac will also proudly present its new state-of-the-art factory in Wroclaw, Poland. The near location of the new production facilities also contribute to the fast delivery of self-adhesive material to Russia. Production of a wide range of high-quality labelstock at the new Poland factory is due to start operations in the final quarter of 2008. As a production and logistics centre, the factory will serve the growing eastern European market and meet increasing demand for filmic label materials European-wide.
Label materials designed to meet the specific needs of each end-use
At the LabelShow, UPM Raflatac will showcase its wide range of paper and film labelstock products. At the forefront are the updated market leading mid-gloss paper, Raflacoat Plus, and RH 9, the hotmelt adhesive optimized for majority of cold and chilled food applications. Both RH 9 and Raflacoat Plus are available in a wide range of labelstock combinations.
UPM Raflatac is also proud to present Raflex Plus, a thin and clear, topcoated film combining the best properties of PE and PP, offering good flexibility on squeezable substrates. With its exceptional printability for very fine print resolution Raflex Plus is ideal for high-quality personal care applications.
UPM Raflatac is present at Booth A4041.
