Rafsec announces the release of the new Corrugated Case Tag
8.9.2003Rafsec announces the release of the Corrugated Case Tag (CCT), a tag specifically designed to meet the expectations of end-users for tagging their cases with ePC RFID tags. Because corrugated cases are generally disposable, the focus behind Rafsec's Corrugated Case Tag is low cost.
To be low cost, the Corrugated Case Tag is designed to be minimalistic, irrespective of where the tag becomes integral with a case in the case supply chain. A very raw format is available, allowing integration at the liner maker, corrugator or box former. Several alternative pressure sensitive adhesive formats are available for integration at the box former or at the product manufacturer's case packer.
Randy Stigall, Rafsec's VP of Business Unit Asset & Inventory Management, comments, "Given our scale and our unique capability for antenna design and manufacture, and as we believe we have the lowest systemic costs, I anticipate that customers will find our Corrugated Case Tags very attractive."
As always, Rafsec is committed to achieving the lowest systemic cost for RFID Tagging. Rafsec stands ready to work with all members of the case supply chain to find a point at which to integrate RFID tags with corrugated cases.
Rafsec specializes in the production and development of Card, Ticket and Label Transponders as well as In-Mould, Wooden Pallet and Garment Tags. Rafsec was founded in 1997, and after two years of product development began the production of RFID transponders in Jyväskylä, Finland. Rafsec's headquarters and product development are located in Tampere, Finland, and the company also has sales offices in the UK, Holland, Chicago and Singapore.
