Raflatac builds its USA factory in North Carolina
26.4.2000Raflatac has now decided to build the new factory in the Broadpointe Industrial Park in Fletcher, North Carolina. The Industrial Park is located near Asheville Regional Airport.
The value of the investment is about USD 45 million. The new factory will include a laminator, automatic warehousing and adhesive manufacturing as well as slitting operations. Production will start during 2001. When in full operation, it is estimated that the new factory will increase the turnover of UPM Raflatac Inc. by USD 115 million and the personnel by about 180.
