Product Components

This section provides information about the components that are laminated together to make UPM Raflatac’s labelstock. The face materials, adhesives and backings are described according to typical applications.

Self-adhesive laminate comprises the following components, from top to bottom:

1. Either a paper or synthetic face material makes up the top layer of the laminate. The printing is done on the upper side of the face material.

2. An adhesive is applied to the reverse side of the face material.

3. A silicone release coating is applied to the upper side of the backing material.

4. Either a paper or synthetic backing provides the bottom layer of the laminate.
