How can we be sure that a product is the real McCoy?
Has someone opened the box and tampered with the contents? Perhaps the product is contaminated – or a cheap, inferior copy. A number materials help authenticate products while revealing attempts to tamper with them in our security labelling range.
Security and tamper-evident labels clearly show that products have retained their integrity at all points in the supply chain. They provide an obvious and visible sign of authenticity which is good for brand protection and reassuring for consumers.
Putting security into bar-coding and branding
UPM Raflatac’s polyester Void labelstocks are available with ‘low voiding release strengths’, which means they are easily split. Full or partial removal of the label leaves either a chequerboard pattern or a ‘void’ text on the labelled package.
The Tamperproof face paper and its filmic counterpart Security White PE split apart when an attempt is made to peel them off a package undetected. Like the rest of the security range, labelling over the seams where the package opens provides additional assurances.
Holograms are an equally dependable option for security labelling because the effect is so difficult to reproduce. The labelstocks in our Holo range are ideal for cosmetics and other eye-catching and luxury promotional labels.
These labelstocks are printable with most techniques for branding and decorative effect as well as thermal transfer for bar-coding. Trial-size and minimum order quantities are surprisingly low!
