UPM Rafsec doubles the production capacity of its Jyväskylä factory

Tampere, March 25, 2004 - UPM Rafsec, a leading RFID tag manufacturer and part of the Finnish UPM Group, announces that it is doubling the RFID tag and label production capacity of its plant in Jyväskylä, Finland. With this capacity increase the company addresses the rapidly growing demand for both its HF and UHF RFID products and strengthens its capability to serve the emerging market for EPC tags.

UPM Rafsec´s Jyväskylä factory, specialized in manufacturing of cards, tickets and labels for all RFID applications, boasts a fully integrated RFID tag production process, including antenna manufacturing, chip attachment and different lamination technologies. In line with UPM Rafsec´s emphasis on reliability, the production line is equipped with an integrated quality control system for real-time inspection throughout the manufacturing process.
