21.3.2006New Rafsec HF and UHF tags and inlays for the pharmaceutical industry
(UPM Raflatac, Tampere, March 21, 2006) - UPM Raflatac, a leading RFID tag and inlay manufacturer, continues to provide the pharmaceutical sector the benefit of its experience in RFID technology. The high-quality Rafsec products are used in numerous RFID roll-outs and pilots worldwide including the Aegate pharmaceuticals tracking system. UPM Raflatac’s RFID business manufactures HF and UHF passive tags and inlays available in high volumes with industry leading quality and product yields. Although both passive technologies, HF or UHF, demonstrate viability in pharmaceutical applications, the experience has shown the presently available HF products offer greater advantages in secure item level pharmaceutical applications.
With manufacturing capacity in USA and Europe and sales offices around the world, UPM Raflatac’s RFID business is serving RFID markets as the first truly global RFID tag supplier. With great emphasis on quality, product yield, and performance, UPM Raflatac is announcing a series of products for the pharmaceutical industry:
