Raflatac involved in grip tape innovation
17.11.2004
The tape comprises a red grip substance on a siliconized release paper. The tape is applied onto the cleaned and abraded kick zone of the ski base, and the release paper is removed with a quick draw. Start Grip Tape doesn’t require waxing tools or a dedicated waxing room.
Raflatac’s technical expertise was highly significant in the creation of this new product, as quite a few tests had to carried out before the right release values for the siliconized paper were found.
Greeted by cross-country skiers with enthusiasm, Start Grip Tape came onto the market last winter and is sold in twenty countries. With good performance across a range of snow conditions and temperatures, it gives a grip that lasts 150 to 250 kilometres.
