Raflatac invests in self-adhesive labelstock factory in the USA

The new factory will include a laminator, automatic warehousing and adhesive manufacturing as well as slitting operations. Production will start during 2001, concentrating on label materials for product and information labelling. The location of the factory is to be announced later.
Raflatac currently has two terminals in the USA, in North Carolina and Ohio, employing around 70 persons altogether. When in full operation, it is estimated that the new factory will increase the turnover of UPM Raflatac Inc. by USD 115 million and the personnel by about 180.
