Retail Information
There are two major end-use areas in retail information labelling:
Price marking
- Labels printed in one or two colours
- Variable information printing (VIP) techniques
- No need for high environmental resistance
Catch-weight labelling
Direct thermal printing on pre-printed labels:
- Scandinavia, the UK, eastern Europe: A four-colour printing process with a UV varnish makes the label both decorative and informativ
- Southern Europe: One or two colour printing, an additional label used for decoration
In dry environments, e.g. for labelling fruits and vegetables,
ECO direct thermal face materials are used for short life catch-weigh labels.
For more demanding applications, e.g. for labelling meats and cheeses,
TOP direct thermal face materials are used.
