Automatic tire labeling benefits from stiffer label materials that are carefully designed with the process in mind. We offer face materials that are sufficiently thick but still have a thin enough backing to facilitate smooth dispensing.
Our specialized rubber adhesives are also the correct consistency for efficient label conversion and dispensing process. A rubber-based, high tack, hotmelt adhesive is key for ensuring that the tire label stays securely in place. All our tire adhesives are resistant to tire chemicals and conditions throughout the entire lifecycle – from manufacturing and label dispensing to distribution and storage.
High-performance film label faces
Syntyre TC 90 has excellent stiffness for smooth automatic dispensing for winter and friction tires.
Syntyre Premium is a white, glossy polyester film for winter and friction tires. The label face provides a protective barrier against tire chemicals and has good lay-flat performance with minimal edge lifting.
Lower adhesive coat weight for automatic dispensing
In some automatic dispensing lines with constant pressure, it may be possible to reduce the label stock’s adhesive coat weight. Up to 30% adhesive reduction can be achieved without disturbing the production chain. Additionally, this provides an opportunity to further
reduce the risk of adhesive bleed onto printed label rolls.
Getting the best results
Working with your die tool supplier is the best way to make sure that you have the right tools for your specific tire labeling materials.
For automatic labeling, it is important to pay attention to the
speed and dispensing angle. To help prevent adhesive bleed, avoid high tension in the reel.
As always, it is good to test labels under actual usage conditions to get the best results in your rubber labeling applications. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our experts.
