To meet the demands of labeling frozen and deep-frozen food packages, UPM Raflatac has a variety of food-safe labeling products that stay put despite moisture and frost. Frozen foods – mainly meat, seafood, and poultry – are those stored between 0 and –5°C, while deep-frozen foods are those stored below –5°C.
Our range of frozen food label adhesives are designed to excel in icy, frosty, dry, damp, or wet conditions. We also have a variety of specially designed adhesives for different packaging surfaces: regular surfaces like rigid trays, or irregular surfaces like films, bags, heat-shrink films, or vacuum packs.
The best label adhesives for frozen foods
For the freezer, we recommend selecting an adhesive based on moisture conditions. If the packaging surface will get frosty or wet, the optimal choices are our RH9X, RH1, or RH3 adhesives. For dry surfaces, RP48 or 149DF are top performers.
Inside the deep freeze, RH3 provides high-performance adhesion for all the most commonly used typical packaging surfaces.
All our adhesives for frozen and deep-frozen foods can be combined with a choice of our paper and filmic face materials.
