UPM Rafsec unveils its complete EPC product portfolio at Frontline Solutions
13.9.2004Always at the forefront in supplying the market with RFID transponders featuring world-class design and highest quality standards, UPM Rafsec is playing a leading role in delivering both design and quality for UHF (Ultra High Frequency) technology worldwide.
After having completed research & development for the different UHF protocols, UPM Rafsec presents its state-of-the-art UHF product portfolio at Frontline Solutions 2004 in Chicago 13-15 September. With over two years of hands on experience in the manufacturing of UHF tags, UPM Rafsec has done hundreds of antenna design iterations in order to find optimal solutions for its customers and invested in capacity to supply volume quantities of reliable, high performance UHF tags.
Continuing the company’s tradition of providing the most complete offering of RFID tags on the market and reinforcing its pioneering role in the field of high-volume and low-cost RFID tag manufacturing, UPM Rafsec offers complete portfolios for three UHF protocols – EPC Class 1 96-bit, Class 0+ 256-bit and UCode EPC 1.19 256-bit.
Within each portfolio, UPM Rafsec offers many choices in terms of tag size and RF absorbency or reflectance, ensuring optimal functionality and best overall UHF system performance in virtually any environment and with any material.
For each portfolio, UPM Rafsec will continue to offer the formats which it has pioneered: Inlets, Die Cut Adhesive Inlets and tags for demanding environments like injection molding.
By doubling the RFID tag and label production capacity of its plant in Jyväskylä, Finland, the company has made a further step forward in addressing the rapidly emerging market for EPC tags.
Concentrating in continuous improvement of quality control by for example testing each and every tag that that leaves its factories, UPM Rafsec guarantees the highest quality of its tags.
UPM Rafsec specializes in the production and development of card, ticket and label transponders based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. Founded in 1997, UPM Rafsec is the leading company in its field. The company headquarters and R&D are located in Tampere, Finland, and the production plant in Jyväskylä.
