CEO Juhani Strömberg receives honorary doctorate

CEO of the Raflatac Group Juhani Strömberg was awarded an honorary doctorate at the Tampere University of Technology (TUT) in Finland on May 17. The Prime Minister of Finland, Mr. Paavo Lipponen also received an honorary doctorate at the same event.

The sixth Conferment Ceremony of the Tampere University of Technology is a festive academic event where those who have taken a doctor's degree at TUT receive the emblem of a doctor, the doctor's hat. In addition to the 112 doctors, the university has invited nine individuals to receive Honorary Doctorates.

The awarding of Honoris Causa Doctorates allows the university to recognise and honour individuals who have made significant contributions to research fields represented at the university, or have helped to promote the activities of the university.
