Maintenance Technician, Mill Services

UPM Raflatac is looking to recruit a

Maintenance Technician, Mill Services

to be responsible for all aspects of maintenance, including coordination with outside resources, whether group support or contractors, to assure proper operation and upkeep of equipment.  

Your main tasks will include: 

  • Performing all work tasks for terminal operations.
  • Work closely with production staff leadership to schedule required maintenance, including troubleshooting and assuring appropriate alignment of machines and equipment.
  • Participate in the installation of all new equipment.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance program that optimizes machine efficiency and production flows. 
  • Maintain appropriate documentation related to equipment maintenance, processes, performance, etc.
  • Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. 

Our expectations from you are:

  • Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline, and 5 – 10 years experience of maintenance work in an industrial environment, preferably in a paper or converting industry.
  • Multi-skill exposure preferred.
  • Must have understanding of mechanical components used and the effective maintenance of a wide range of equipment, including highly automated, technologically advanced machinery. 
  • Requires ability to read and interpret blueprints and maintenance diagrams for mechanical components. 
  • Must have experience with maintenance management and CBM systems. 
    Background in welding, machining, pneumatic and hydraulic systems desired. 
  • Must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to relate well to a wide range of constituents. 
  • Must be able to function well as a member of a team. Previous project team experience preferred.

You will be based in Dixon, IL, USA and report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
